Ms Phinopoulou, a qualified lawyer, with over 20+ year professional expertise and practical experience in Company Corporate, Banking and Capital Markets (Financial Services) Laws embracing Project Finance and Infrastructure field. Since 2016, Nicole has developed enhanced knowledge and specialisation on operations and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility and Regulatory Sustainability Compliance Reporting Programmes.
Supporter of United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (17 SDGs) and targets (169), and of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Criteria Factors set by European Union (EU) with focus on Sustainable Finance.
She served at the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC)(Council 2016-2018) and at the Council of University of Cyprus (Bard Member 2019-2021). Since 2003 she is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association (CBA) and of the Companies, Tax Planning and Capital Markets Committee; during 2015-2020 acted as CBA nominated representative at the House of Parliament.
Graduate of Cambridge University Judge Business School (Circular Economy)(2021) and as from 2020 she is a Member of the Institute for Sustainability Leadership (University of Cambridge) focusing on Sustainable Finance & Sustainability Strategies projects. Ms Phinopoulou is also an Affiliate Member of Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI). On September 2022 was certified accredited by Human Resources Development Authority (Cyprus HRDA) as Vocational and Professional Training Skills Trainer (SEP/CYQF/EQF5 (HRDA-EU project)).
